Advertise cheaply on Leeds podcast Working Hours. Reach new customers and new markets

Hello colleagues

If you’d like to advertise on a podcast to people in Leeds then please read this short message.

Our flag ship podcast Working Hours passed 5k downloads at the beginning of February 2025. The show had over 236 downloads this January. Nearly double last January’s 129 downloads. Last month we had 298 downloads and we hit 6K total downloads. The show has been listened to in over 54 countries but most of its listenership is in Leeds. Working Hours has been bootstrapped and self-funded for five years. It will continue to grow more as long as it can go on.

Free episodes of Working Hours are ending at 200 published episodes. We can unfortunately no longer self-fund it. However, there can still be a long road ahead for Working Hours if we find the small amount of funds we need to keep it going. Just 100 pound a month can keep the show going longer.

Podcast advertising is currently the Holy Grail of online advertising. It places your brand, offer, or product in front of an audience. This audience already trusts the host they’re listening to. It places your ad message directly into the ears of your potential customers. If you use video, it reaches their eyes too. These customers are more primed to be sympathetic to hearing your message from Working Hours.

Do you want your message on a podcast?

Are you looking to particularly reach listeners in Leeds?

Would you like my growing Leeds and/or international audience to hear about you?

Last month, we easily added this message to over 165 episodes of Working Hours. You could put your ad message on 169 episodes today. There’s no better time than now to bag yourself a sponsorship, in-show ad-read on Working Hours.

There’s multiple options you can choose from.

You could sponsor the show for a few months. You could pay for one or more ad reads in one episode or more. Both of these mean you would have the host read out your ad copy in show. You can add your message to the pre roll. This way, it appears before the show starts. You can also choose the mid roll, which puts your message somewhere within the show. There’s end roll space available as well.

Vendors selling bigger ticket items would be best suited for this. You’d only need to make one or more new sales to cover your ad spend. This is better than a business that needs to shift more units to justify the cost. Plus, the small nature of our existing audience makes it perfect for businesses that sell products people always buy but that they buy less frequently.
